The latest CARS info
As the government awaits the Senate vote next week, the House passed the initial bill to shovel another $2 billion into the CARS (aka Cash for Clunkers).
What is CARS?
The program that started earlier this week has already dished out its allotted $1 billion to qualifying clunker owners.
The Cars Allowance Rebate System gives $3,500 or $4,500 toward a new car when you trade-in a select clunker. The idea is to get the old, inefficient gas guzzlers off the road, and with incentives this large, it is working.

Now may be the best time to trade in that old clunker and step into a new car that fits the needs of a growing family.
