Chicago Air and Water Show media preview flights by the Lima Lima flight team, Red Bull Helicopter, T-6 Texans and more have been buzzing across our urban landscape. More unfolds tomorrow, Friday, when practice takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Below are a few additional notes from today (where I turned down an incredibly generous and enticing offer to fly with the Lima Lima flight crew or the T-6 Texans. I said "no" mainly because my brain sloshes around in my skull for days after the Tilt-a-Whirl at Kiddieland. I did not want to disembark from the flight and end up pasted on the airport tarmac with barf on my shirt for the rest of the week. Still, it was a tough call.)
More Chicago Air & Water news and updates:
- Everyone will be participating in the practice day tomorrow except for the headlining Golden Knights, who will be parachuting into the Cubs game tomorrow instead. The game starts at 1:20.
- The water portion will be modest this year. A round of professional jet skiers and the Munson Water Ski Team, waves and lake permitting. They will begin at 10 a.m with the air show beginning promptly at 10:45 a.m.
- The Air Show schedule will not be updated to include times. Times are usually not finalized until the last minute and are subject to change due to weather and other factors
