Jessica Hahn is a women best known as an outspoken sex symbol and is one of those “I-have-no-idea-why-she’s-famous” celebrities.

She came into the spotlight when a sex scandal broke out at her church, in which she alleged televangelist Jim Bakker and another church leader of drugging a raping her.

In his 1997 book titled “I was wrong”, Bakker described the sex as consensual and says he was set up by Jessica Hahn. Jessica Hahn was given much attention after Bakker announced he would be stepping down as head of PTL and Heritage USA and would be replaced by Jerry Falwell.

Investigative journalists discovered that Jessica Hahn was paid 265,000 to drop her case against Bakker.

Jumping off her exposure in the media, Hahn went on to appear in Playboy magazine and a variety of TV shows.

Jessica Hahn’s longtime boyfriend, Ron Leavitt, died in February 2008 of lung cancer.
