banana boat rat

banana boat rat

Earlier this morning we published a story about a Banana Bot Rat questioning the reason why it would be on the top of Google Trends. The only thing we knew from the Trends was the fact that mostly it's in Atlanta area that people search for the term, but no news association with it. Now, thanks to our readers, we know what was happening in Atlanta.

Here are some emails that we have received from our readers

Want to know why people in Atlanta are searching for the elusive Banana Boat Rat? Someone called into a local radio station (KICKS 101.5) and told a story of a friend bringing home what they thought to be a dog from a vacation. They return from a night out to discover the "dog" has attacked the family cat. Owners take the "dog" to the vet to see what is wrong with it and are told it is not a dog but a Banana Boat rat. Now the listeners want to know what one looks like.

There was a story on the radio station Kicks 101.5 in Atlanta this morning concerning a banana boat rat. That is why the search. The rats supposedly came from Florida and ate a cat. The people thought it was a dog and took it to the vet to find out it was a banana boat rat. This is the reason for the search.

People (mainly in Atl) are Googling Banana Boat Rat this morning because on Kicks 101.5 they told a story about a woman who mistook a Banana Boat Rat for a dog. She thought it was a stray and took it in. People (like me) wanted to know if a Banana Boat Rat really looks like a dog, so we Googled it.

Banana Boat Rat is the #1 Google search because today on an Atlanta radio station a woman told a story about bringing one home not knowing it was a rat and it ate her cat.
